The Vera is a new construction 203-unit affordable housing project developed by BRIDGE Housing in Portland’s South Waterfront area. The project is located directly next to the Portland SW River Parkway/Moody streetcar stop and close to the MAX light rail line. Unique to the immediate area are Tilikum Crossing, the new pedestrian/public transit bridge providing access to the close-in east side, and convenient access to the Oregon Health and Sciences University (OHSU) Waterfront and Marquam Hill campuses. The waterfront trail and Poet’s Beach are approximately one block away.
The Vera amenities include a community room with library and kitchen, resident services area, mail room, workroom and leasing office, community courtyard, play area, two laundry rooms, 75 underground parking spaces, and bicycle parking. Eighty (80) units are supported with rental assistance vouchers and 20 are permanent supportive housing for people who have experienced homelessness.
