About Portland Solutions

Portland Solutions was established in 2024 to create a centralized program hub to address Portland's most pressing homelessness and livability challenges, including outreach, shelter, impact reduction, and reclaiming public spaces.

Basic Sidewalk Cleaning

Label: Information
The City of Portland now cleans the sidewalks along major business corridors and other high-impact areas to keep our community friendlier, safer, and more welcoming. Clean sidewalks promote health, safety, and livability for everyone.
Register your security camera with the City of Portland to help the police investigate crime. If criminal activity occurs near your location, investigators may ask to review footage. This is a voluntary program. No one is required to share camera footage. You can withdraw from the registry anytime.
Mayor Wheeler authorized the creation of the Public Environment Management Office through an emergency declaration, which went into effect on May 11, 2022.

PEMO Murals

Murals bring color and energy to Portland's neighborhoods. PEMO works with local street artists, neighbors, and businesses to transition blank walls into micro-murals that help small businesses with tagging and graffiti while supporting community pride.

PEMO Programs and Results

Storefront Support Program
