Play Structure Closure

The play structure at Wilshire Park is temporarily closed due to much-needed repairs, especially on the slide and the wood deck. The entire structure will be fenced off and inaccessible.

The work will take approximately two weeks to complete, meaning the structure will be open to the public at the beginning of September 2023. We are replacing all of the wood on the structure (deck boards, bridge boards, rails, and swing beams), and installing a new stainless-steel slide.

Located at the center of the park, the nature patch completed in 2018 includes a variety of flowering native plants to support pollinators, split-rail fencing, and a path with natural seating features.
