Portland Parks & Recreation's annual 5K Fun Run Series are family-friendly 5K races that take place monthly from May through August at parks throughout Portland.
$5 registration fee for participants aged 18 and older. Participants younger than 18 years old run for free! We celebrate the participation of all ages, along with athleticism and friendly competition. We welcome new walkers and runners, as well as our seasoned racers.
5K Fun Run Series 2026
- May 17 at Laurelhurst Park
- June 7 at Lents Park
- July 12 at Pier Park
- August 16 at Gabriel Park
Fun Run Schedule
On race day, participants can time themselves using our sports clock, and every finisher gets a ribbon!
- 7:45am - Check-in and bib pick-up begins
- 8:45am - Competitive 5K Race starts
- 9:20am - Kids Fun Run 1K or 2K for children 8 years old and younger
- 9:45am - All Participant 5K Fun Run starts
