Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) believes recreation is for everyone. We know that the price of programs and activities prevents some community members from being able to participate.
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is always looking for motivated and responsible individuals to join our aquatics staff. We offer lifeguard certification, swim instructor training, and water fitness instructor training classes year-round.

Fitness in the Park

Information
Portland Parks & Recreation's Fitness in the Park helps Portlanders stay active and achieve their fitness goals while connecting to community and nature in our parks. People at every fitness level, age 14 and up, are welcome.
Portland Parks & Recreation posts information on closures, delays, and cancellations affecting our sites and programs during inclement weather.

Inclusion Services

Information
Inclusion Services provides meaningful access to people living with disabilities. The program aims to provide every individual access to all PP&R registered classes and activities that are within their chronological age group. Each support plan is established on an individual basis.
Splash pads in parks are closed for 2023. They ran between 10 am-8 pm daily through Labor Day (we extended their hours this summer). Interactive fountains are activated during the spring; see below for more hours and locations.
Outdoor pools are closed for the season. View individual pool pages for schedule updates and changes.

Lifelong Recreation

Information
Lifelong Recreation (formerly Senior Recreation) is dedicated to ensuring access to recreational, educational, and wellness opportunities for adults age 60+.

Play Swim Schedule

Portland Parks & Recreation is dedicated to providing a play-based, child-centered, and inclusive educational preschool program for ages 3–5 years old. Play is an important avenue for learning. It is our goal to honor where each child is in their development.

Summer Camps

Information
Our camp program provides healthy, active, engaging, safe, and fun activities for kids from preschool through elementary school.
At Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN) Community Schools the school community works with partners in the broader community to educate and support kids creating a collective impact.
Portland Parks & Recreation owns and operates four indoor pools and seven outdoor pools. Outdoor pools are closed for the season.

Tennis
