PP&R joins in celebrating National Water Safety Month in May

Stay safe and have fun!

Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) is joining with other organizations nationwide during the month of May to promote National Water Safety Month. From May 1, through May 31, 2019, PP&R pools will have pledge forms for youth asking them to promise to:

1. Always swim with a buddy
2. Look before they leap
3. Wear a lifejacket
4. Be cool, follow the rules
5. Learn to swim  

Pledge forms will also be handed out to adults asking them to pledge to be a Water Watcher by supervising their children in the water. Winners will receive water safety prizes including free swim lessons, lifejackets, sunscreen and goggles.
