Please visit portlandoregon.gov/parks/weather for updated closures and/or call your pool or community center before you leave your home.

Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) community centers close at 5pm on Thursday, December 15. Most centers will open at 12:00pm and close at 5:00pm on Friday, December 16. No classes/lessons will be held on Friday. Swimming pools in community centers will offer open play swims and lap swims only, no lessons. Hillside and Woodstock Community Centers and Laurelhurst Dance Studio will remain closed. Available drop-in programming will adapt to meet the needs of the community. Patrons should check by phone, Facebook, or the Inclement Weather Policy and Closures page for information at individual centers. All schedules are subject to change.

Community center and pool hours/schedules are subject to updates throughout the day, and visitors are strongly encouraged to

  • Call your community center or pool BEFORE you leave your home to make sure it is open; and to check the status of any organized classes or activities.
  • Use public transit.
  • Be very, very careful on foot and on the road!
