Join Forest Park Conservancy to celebrate Earth Day with multiple stewardship events across Forest Park and Marquam Nature Park!
Volunteers will remove weedy introduced species like English ivy to help restore native habitat! During the event, volunteers will be removing invasively growing plants to make space for native species to thrive and support future revegetation efforts. This important work helps improve the health and resilience of the forest ecosystem for years to come.

Helpful information for participants
Thank you for helping to keep Portland parks healthy and beautiful! Here are a few tips to get you ready for your stewardship event.
- In order to ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty!
- Registration is required for all stewardship events, unless otherwise noted.
- Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness.
- All tools, gloves and training to do the task is provided.
- While groups are welcome to join many of our regularly scheduled stewardship events, please contact the event coordinator listed in the description before arriving with a large group. This will ensure that there are enough gloves and tools for everyone to work. We are also available to schedule special service events at your group's convenience during the week or on weekends. If you are looking for community service to fulfill court requirements, please call 503-823-5121. You must be registered with our program before undertaking any community service.
Other Community Service Hours
To verify participation for school or other service hour requirements, please bring your own method of tracking and check in with the Stewardship Coordinator or event leader during the event to get a signature or other verification. Please follow registration guidelines for the event you would like to participate in for service.
