Project details
Join Portland Parks & Recreation and the Columbia Slough Watershed Council to plant native plants in the natural areas of Columbia Children's Arboretum. The 27 acres of Columbia Children's Arboretum is a gem of a park nestled in NE Portland, boasting a collection of trees from all over the world, a small apple orchard, and natural areas that are habitat to beaver, turtles, birds and more. Planting a diversity of native plants helps to create more habitat for wildlife and helps keep the air and water clean for animals and humans alike.

Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided, as well as coffee, tea, and light snacks.
