Project details
Join Portland Parks & Recreation and the Friends of Trees to plant native shrubs and trees in the natural area at Kelley Point Park. A diversity of native plants supports a diversity of insects and wildlife, helping to provide clean air and water in our city.
Kelley Point Park is a unique regional asset located at the confluence of the Columbia River, Willamette River, and the Columbia Slough. These rivers, combined with more than 90 acres of native black cottonwood forest, make Kelley Point Park a true refuge for wildlife and people in Portland. We will be working in a unique section of natural area across the road from the first parking lot.
Please bring your own water bottle, wear closed toe shoes, and dress for the weather. Instructions, tools, and gloves will be provided, as well as coffee, tea, and light snacks.
