***CANCELLED*** Marshall Park- No Ivy Day 2025

Volunteer Event
Event cancelled due to inclement weather.
9:00 am 12:00 pm

Project Description:

Join Tryon Creek Watershed Council in partnership with Portland Parks & Recreation to remove invasively growing English Ivy at beloved Marshall Park! After a few seasons tending to areas near the creek and new trailhead, we will be newly focusing at the SW 18th Place trailhead. PP&R has recently done weedy tree removal, so it'll be easier for us to access ivy!

Please BYO water and snacks; we'll provide some snacks and beverages, as well as gloves and tools - but please feel welcome to BYO gloves if preferred! Please wear layers for the weather, and close-toed sturdy shoes for uneven ground.

Thank you for helping to keep Portland parks healthy and beautiful! Here are a few tips to get you ready for your stewardship event.

  • In order to ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty!
  • Registration is required for all stewardship events, unless otherwise noted.
  • Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness.
  • All tools, gloves and training to do the task is provided.
  • While groups are welcome to join many of our regularly scheduled stewardship events, please contact the event coordinator listed in the description before arriving with a large group.
