Project details:

Forest Park Conservancy will be working in Forest Park, celebrating No Ivy Day 2025 in partnership with Portland Parks & Recreation, where we will remove invasive English ivy to help restore native habitat! This will make space for native species to thrive and support future revegetation efforts.

Long pants, long socks, and sturdy, closed-toe tennis shoes or hiking boots are required for your safety. Long-sleeved shirts and weather appropriate layers for sun/wind/rain are also recommended. Make sure to bring a water bottle - many folks find it beneficial to bring a small backpack as well. If you have any allergies, please bring medications in case of emergency! Training, tools, snacks, coffee, and work gloves will be provided.

Thank you for helping to keep Portland parks healthy and beautiful! Here are a few tips to get you ready for your stewardship event.

  • In order to ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty!
  • Registration is required for all stewardship events, unless otherwise noted.
  • Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness.
