Access Pass - Reduced Pricing
Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R) believes recreation is for everyone. We know that the price of programs and activities prevents some community members from being able to participate. Thanks to the Parks Local Option Levy (Parks Levy) we can offer new payment options for people who live within the City of Portland. City of Portland residents can register for a free Access Pass to receive an ongoing discount of 25, 50, 75, or 90% based on financial need. The pass is valid for 12 months from the date of enrollment. No proof of income is required.

For those interested in reserving a bounce house
Once you have reserved your bounce house party or event by paying the security/damage deposit, you are ready for the next steps.
Before the staff at Montavilla Community Center can open the bounce house for your groups use, we must have both of the following documents:
Bounce House Use Agreement
The usage agreement form must be read, understood, and signed by one adult (over 18 years old) who will be on site during the event as the person responsible for the event/party.
This form must be signed and on file at Montavilla Community Center prior to the beginning of your event. Please contact the staff at Montavilla Community Center if you do not have access to a printer. We will provide a usage agreement form.
Participant Waiver
Staff on site will collect waivers as guests arrive for your event. Those with completed waivers will have access to the bounce house, while those without can still come-in to run and play in the gymnasium with their friends but will not be allowed to jump in the bounce house.
It is the renter's responsibility to print and distribute the waiver. Please contact the staff at Montavilla Community Center if you do not have access to a printer. We will provide waiver forms.
Built in the 1920s, the original building consisted of the gymnasium and the outdoor pool. When the pool was open during the summer, the gym was divided down the middle with floor-to-ceiling wood walls and used as locker rooms. Over the years, several improvements and expansions were made to the original building. A 1950 tax levy provided money to build a combination room that was used as a dressing room in the summer and for social activities during the winter. A 1992 renovation added permanent preschool and gymnastics rooms. In 1998, another classroom was added, the multi-purpose room was upgraded, the parking lot was doubled, and new equipment was added to the outdoor playground. On June 16, 2006, the gymnasium was dedicated to Larry Krohn, a long-time PP&R employee and resident of the Montavilla neighborhood.
