A Basic Earthquake Emergency Communication Node (pronounced beacon) is a place to go in Portland after a major earthquake to ask for emergency assistance if phone service is down, or report severe damage or injury. Harrison Park Nature Patch
Portland Parks & Recreation, in partnership with Portland's Bureau of Environmental Services, is creating a nature-themed garden at Harrison Park to provide habitat for pollinators and a lovely space for the neighborhood to enjoy.
The nature patch is located at the south edge of the park. Landscaping is complete and public planting events will be happening through winter.
The first planting will be held on Friday, October 18th from 10am-noon.
