The Hancock Nature Patch

A view through the new garden. Plants on the way!
The Hancock Nature Patch will have similar elements to the nature patch at Lents Park, seen here.

Created in 2025 at the SE corner of the park, this garden features forest understory plantings, pathways, and natural placemaking elements.

Community planting events will be held late fall through winter 2026. Please join us.

This project is funded by the Portland Bureau of Environmental Services.
