Grant Outdoor Pool Mechanical Systems Replacement

With funding from the Parks Replacement Bond, this project replaced outdated mechanical systems for the Grant Outdoor Pool.  The pool's mechanical systems dated to the 1920s and 1940s, and they needed replacement.

Work included replacement of all mechanical systems, including plumbing, pumps, motors, pipes, strainer baskets, chemical controllers, sanitation systems, pool gutters, deck drains, and filters. The pool was also made more accessible by correcting cross slope issues on the deck and installation of two new pool lifts.

In 2016, Grant Outdoor Pool was fully renovated with funding from the 2014 Parks Replacement Bond. These improvements included the replacement of major mechanical systems; plumbing, pumps, motors, pipes, chemical controllers, sanitation systems, gutters, deck drains, and filters. Many ADA improvements were also made in 2016, including the repair of cross slope issues on the pool deck and installation of two new pool lifts.
