During drop-in swimming times, everyone must pay admission, even if they are not getting in the water. Pool capacities are limited. Drop-in swimming is available this spring at indoor pools.
- Non-swimmers and children under 48 inches tall must always have a caregiver aged 16 or older in the water within arm’s reach.
- Children under 10 years old must always have a caregiver on-site.
- Life jackets are available to use while swimming.

Summer Swim Lessons
Summer swim lessons take place from June 30 through August 22. Lessons are limited and vary by pool. Not all levels are offered at all times. Private and semi-private lessons are not available. Learn more about the PP&R swim lesson program.

Free Learn to Swim Lessons: June 23 - 27
- Register in person at any PP&R pool on June 13 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm.
- Online registration for free swim lessons will begin June 13 at 7:00 pm.
American Rescue Plan (ARPA) Project
The City received an American Rescue Plan (ARPA) grant to enhance park visitor and staff safety and protect park assets through improved security infrastructure at park maintenance and recreation facilities.
Using part of these funds, the chain link fence around Grant Outdoor Pool will be replaced with fencing that will increase pool users’ security and safety. Work will take place outside of the pool’s open season. Estimated work dates will be posted when the schedule is created.
There will be no disruption to pool use.
In 2016, Grant Outdoor Pool was fully renovated with funding from the 2014 Parks Replacement Bond. These improvements included the replacement of major mechanical systems; plumbing, pumps, motors, pipes, chemical controllers, sanitation systems, gutters, deck drains, and filters. Many ADA improvements were also made in 2016, including the repair of cross slope issues on the pool deck and installation of two new pool lifts with straps.
