Parking lot temporary closure
The Glenhaven Park parking lot will be closed October 29 and 30 while our staff install a new parking lot gate.
The new gate is the result of working with Portland Public Schools and the nearby community as a safety measure to close the parking area while the park is closed overnight. This will help make sure the parking lot is accessible for students arriving to school in the morning.
We appreciate your understanding as crews get the job done.
Skatepark
The skatepark is 11,000 square feet, featuring a 5,500-square-foot street course and 5,500 square feet of transition area. The street area includes: hubba ledges, stamped brick bank, banks, ledges and manual pads, handrails, stairs, two pyramid hips, a quarter pipe, and two "dude chutes."

Improvements to Glenhaven Park were completed in fall 2019, thanks to funding from the Parks Replacement Bond and a contribution from System Development Charges. Glenhaven Park had some of the oldest play equipment in the parks system, dating back to the 1970s. Several play pieces were removed due to lead paint content. Updated features included a new playground, new ADA-compliant pathways, and public art.
