Argay Park Volunteer Day

Label: Volunteer event
Join us to help maintain the park sign garden bed and keep pollinator-friendly plants blooming!
10:00 am to 11:00 am

Volunteer with us!

Join PP&R and your neighbors for a family-friendly volunteer hour to help weed, prune, mulch, and occasionally add new plants to the garden bed.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening, with the option to connect with your neighbors and community or spend a bit of quiet time with nature.

This is a low-barrier, go at your own pace event. Plant care activities may vary monthly. Open to all skills, paces, and abilities, no experience is required to participate.

For more event details and to register for this event, visit the new PP&R volunteer website!

Site Accessibility

This garden bed is not directly accessible from a paved pathway and requires moving across a mostly even grassy area. There is mixed shade and open skies throughout the park, and the garden bed may have direct sun exposure depending on the time of year and time of day.

There is no restroom at this park. Depending on the season, there may be a portable restroom onsite.

If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please contact us.

If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.

If you would like to learn more about or request language access services, please contact PDX 311.

We recommend making your request as soon as possible and at least 5 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance of the event.
