Volunteer with us!
Join PP&R for a family-friendly, monthly volunteer event to help with gardening and land care activities throughout the park. Regular activities include weeding, pruning, mulching, and plant installation.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening and native plants, and to connect with your neighbors and community. Open to all skills, paces, and abilities. No experience is required to participate.
Pre-registration for this event is preferred to help us prepare. For more event details and to register for this event, visit the new PP&R volunteer website!
Site Accessibility
Work will take place in the upper portion of the park. There is an accessible restroom onsite. There is a mixture of paved, concrete pathways, soft surface, and gravel pathways throughout the park. Some work may not be directly adjacent to a paved pathway, depending on the day and activities.
Some tasks may be able to be performed in a seated or standing position, and others may require stooping or kneeling.
The park has many areas that are open to sun exposure, with some areas that are shaded. Work location varies.
If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please contact us. If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.
If you would like to learn more about or request language access services, please contact PDX 311.
We recommend making your request as soon as possible and at least 5 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance of the event.
