Pier Park Plant Pals Earth Month Event

Label: Volunteer event
Be a pal to plants and join us for Earth Month at Pier Park to help the local flora thrive!
10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Volunteer with us!

We care for the Earth every day, but we invite you to celebrate the start of Earth Month and the return of spring with us by nurturing your connection to the land.

Join PP&R for a family friendly volunteer event to help with a variety of gardening and land care opportunities throughout the park. Regular activities include weeding, pruning, mulching, and plant installation.

This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening and native plants and to connect with your neighbors and community. Plant care activities may vary monthly. Tools and instructions provided. Open to all skills and abilities, no experience is required to participate.

Snacks and beverages will be provided at this event.

For more event details and to register for this event, visit the new PP&R volunteer website!

Site Accessibility

There is an accessible restroom onsite. Pathway surfaces vary throughout the park. Some pathways are hard, paved surfaces, and others are similar to soft surface trails. There are some benches throughout the park adjacent to pathways.

The park is heavily shaded by many beautiful trees. Some areas may have open sun exposure.

If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please contact us. If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.

If you would like to learn more about or request language access services, please contact PDX 311.

We recommend making your request as soon as possible and at least 5 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance of the event.
