Volunteer with us!
We care for the Earth every day, but we invite you to celebrate the start of Earth Month and the return of spring with us by nurturing your connection to the land. Spend your morning with us and help kick off our first monthly volunteer event at Mill Park.
Join PP&R for monthly, family-friendly volunteer events at Mill Park to help weed, prune, and mulch the plant beds around the community garden.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about gardening and connect with your neighbors and community. Plant care activities may vary monthly. Tools and instructions provided. Open to all skills and abilities, no experience is required to participate.
For more event details and to register for this event, visit the new PP&R volunteer website!
Snacks and beverages will be provided as we welcome spring and celebrate the start of the volunteer season at the park.
Site Accessibility
All shrub beds that we will be working in are adjacent to a paved pathway or hard surface. There is an ADA restroom in the park. The areas we will regularly be working in have open sun exposure.
If you have questions about the accessibility of the event, please contact us. If you have an ADA accommodation request to be able to participate in this volunteer event, please use the 311 ADA Accommodation Request webpage.
If you would like to learn more about or request language access services, please contact PDX 311.
We recommend making your request as soon as possible and at least 5 business days (Monday - Friday) in advance of the event.
