All participants under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult (an exception for older teens may be possible by request). There is poison oak on site, and you may encounter yellow jackets or other stinging insects. We recommend you wear long-sleeve shirts and pants as protection. There are bathrooms near the picnic area and at the summit, but they may not be close to the section of the park you are working in. Bring a reusable water bottle. There are fill-up stations at the park.

Meeting Location: Meet at the Mt. Tabor Visitor Center at SE Salmon Way and, SE Park Dr, Portland, OR 97215 . See the MAP.
Parking: There is a large parking lot at the Mt. Tabor Visitor Center. Parking can also be found on nearby side streets such as SE Salmon Way or SE Yamhill Street.
Location Description: There will be a ~10 minute walk from the meeting location to most of the project sites which. Many of the projects will by on uneven terrain.

Thank you for helping to keep Portland parks healthy and beautiful! Here are a few tips to get you ready for your stewardship event.
- Registration is required for all stewardship events, unless otherwise noted.
- Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness.
- All tools, gloves and training to do the task is provided.
- In order to ensure your comfort and safety, please remember to dress for the weather, wear close-toed shoes, bring a water bottle, and be ready to get dirty!
- While groups are welcome to join many of our regularly scheduled stewardship events, please contact the event coordinator listed in the description before arriving with a large group. This will ensure that there are enough gloves and tools for everyone to work. We are also available to schedule special service events at your group's convenience during the week or on weekends.
