SFFA General Information and Tabling Guidelines
The SFFA program’s core responsibility is to produce free cultural events in partnership with community organizations and artistic partners. We understand that SFFA events are valuable platforms to provide information and services to the community. For that reason, we receive a high volume of requests for tabling from PP&R work units, City bureaus, other government agencies, social services, nonprofits, small businesses, corporations, sponsors, etc. Please reference a few guidelines and information.
- Almost every SFFA cultural event is produced and co-hosted with a community partner.
- Each cultural event, park location, and community partner is unique and different. The number of tablers and the type of tabling at any given park or event will depend on site feasibility, the nature of each event (scope, size, program type) and operational complexity.
- Some parks and events will have higher demand for onsite tabling than there are available spots. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but please provide alternate parks and events.
- The number of tabling spots at any given event will also depend on how many other tablers we have from community partners, paid sponsors, and program partners.
- All tabling groups must bring their own equipment and supplies (canopy, tables, chairs, generators, etc.), and setup/breakdown their stations.
What’s It Like at an Event?
Crowds
Depending on the event, our audiences range from 300-2000 people onsite.
Time of Service
Although our events vary in start/end time, a three-hour service time between the hours of 5:00pm-8:00pm is typical.
Number of Tablers
Events have 2-5 tablers onsite, depending on the expected audience. To provide the best opportunity for each organization, we balance the needs of each event with the number of tabling organizations onsite.
What Does My Organization Need to Provide?
All tabling groups must bring their own equipment and supplies (canopy, tables, chairs, generators, etc.) and facilitate the setup/breakdown of their stations. The standard footprint for tablers is 10x10.
