The event is free to attend, and no registration is required.
The American String Quartet is a distinguished international-touring chamber group. Violist Daniel Avshalomov and violinist Laurie Carney will play for students, talk about their life in chamber music, and answer questions. Daniel Avshalomov was a student at CMC in the 60s, and Laurie Carney’s 48 year career with the group probably means she has been a professional quartet performer longer than any other woman in the business. More information about the group can be found at www.americanstringquartet.com.
