Activities
Recreation activities are inclusive and open to people of all abilities. Adaptive Recreation offers activities designed for teens and adults who have a disability.
Registered Activities
PP&R offers a variety of registered activities designed for people with disabilities, including social gatherings, creative arts classes, and outings for adults. To participate, you must sign up and pay (if there is a fee) in advance. Registered activities typically occur over a 5 or 10-week session.
Personal aides are welcome to support participants in registered activities, after completing a volunteer form and a successful background check. Requests to include personal aides must be submitted at least two business days before the start of the activity. After you've registered, if you would like to have the support of a personal aide, please submit a PP&R - Inclusion Request Form and include this information.
Drop-in Activities
PP&R offers a variety of drop-in activities that are open to all abilities. You do not need to sign up for these activities ahead of time. If there is a fee, you will pay at the front desk when you arrive for the scheduled activity. Personal aids are welcome to support participants in drop-in activities and should check in at the front desk with the participant at the time of the activity. Drop-in schedules are available online or printed at each recreation center.
