Business income taxes for the Portland License Tax, Multnomah County Business Income Tax, and Metro Supportive Housing Services Business Income Tax are due on April 18, 2022.  

File online (and pay or request an extension online)

Register, file, and pay from your computer at Portland Revenue Online. To file your business tax return(s) online, you will need: 

  • Your Portland Revenue Online account information 

  • Your Federal/Oregon tax pages to attach to your return 

File by mail or fax (and pay or request an extension)

Request for extension of time to file 

If you need additional time to file your business tax return(s), you should file a Request for Extension (Form EXT) by the original due date of your return, unless you have filed a timely extension to file with the IRS. You must still pay all tax due by the original due date. 

Who pays City of Portland Business License Tax 

  • Businesses with business activity in the City of Portland with gross business income of more than $50,000.

  • Specific filing and payment exemption information is available on the Business Tax Filing and Payment Information page of the Revenue Division website.  

Who pays Multnomah County Business Income Tax 

  • Businesses with business activity in Multnomah County with gross business income of more than $100,000.

  • Specific filing and payment exemption information is available on the Business Tax Filing and Payment Information page of the Revenue Division website.  

Who pays Metro Supportive Housing Services Business Income Tax 

  • Businesses with business activity in Oregon Metro with gross business income of more than $5 million.

  • Specific filing and payment exemption information is available on the Business Tax Filing and Payment Information page of the Revenue Division website.
