On July 29, 2020 the City of Portland was recognized by the Green Electronics Council as a 2020 EPEAT Purchaser Award Winner at the 4-star level.

This is the third year in a row the City has received an EPEAT Purchaser Award. The City purchases EPEAT-registered computers, imaging equipment, mobile phones, and servers.
The benefits associated with the City's purchase of green electronics in fiscal year 2019-2019 (over the lifetime of the products) include:
- 2.7 million kWh in energy use reduction
- 624 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions reduction
- 114,600 dollars in electricity cost savings
