3:00 pm - Roll-Call / Introductions

3:05 pm - Public Testimony Period 

Clean Air Construction Intergovernmental Oversight Committee ("CAC Committee") meetings are open to the public. The first 10 minutes of each meeting are reserved for the public to address the Committee with questions or comments regarding the issues on that meeting’s agenda.  For any questions/comments outside of the meeting agenda, we ask that you please submit them in writing to the CAC Program Coordinator.  If multiple members of the public have questions/comments, then the 10 minutes will be allocated to accommodate as many members of the public as possible.  The remainder of the meeting is reserved for committee discussion and decision making on CAC program matters.

3:40 pm - Syncing Key Program Elements Discussion 

  1. Compliance options protocols: DPF equivalent
    • CAC Standard: Equivalent is defined as achieving the same level (within 10%) of diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions reduction as a DPF.
    • CARB Level 1: 85%+ PM reduction, Level 2: less than 85% PM reduction
  2. Terminology around emissions control technology in specifications and Standard
    • Identified discrepancies in different agency specifications.
      • A DOC may be usedon a limited basis as described in this section, in cases where a DPF is determined by a Recognized Service Provider to be infeasible for technical or safety reasons.  
      • If the Tier 0 engine cannot accept a DPF or equivalent device, the engine is retrofitted with the next best emissions control device to reduce diesel particulate matter following a BACT approach
