The Community Board for Police Accountability (CBPA) is the independent governing body that, with support from the Office of Community-based Police Accountability (OCPA), makes up the City's newly established Oversight System.

The CBPA is composed entirely of volunteers, appointed by City Council, who have completed rigorous background checks and comprehensive training in preparation for this important responsibility.

In accordance with Portland City Code and state law, the CBPA conducts hybrid public meetings, allowing board members to participate fully either in person or online via video or teleconference.
