Portland opposes proposed CBP rulemaking to using FRT on international travelers

The United States Customs and Borders Protection (CBP) is proposing using face recognition technologies (FRT) for security reasons on all international visitors. The City of Portland opposes the use of FRT as described in this policy due to serious concerns of racial bias and human rights impacts.
