In 2018, Commissioner Eudaly opposed Mayor Wheeler's proposed protest ordinance. She questioned the PPB about their crowd control tactics, perceived bias against protesters, and highlighted problems with the bureau. Nearly two years later, these questions remain relevant.
The NPPC is charged with supporting the City’s equity initiatives by advising City Council on policy change relating to immigrant and refugee communities. The NPPC decided to postpone our scheduled report to stand in solidarity with the Black community.
