Portland’s Independent District Commission releases draft plan -- with three map options named Alder, Cedar and Maple -- for community discussion this summer
The commission received and considered more than 197 map concepts from the community, 136 public comments before voting on the draft maps to be released for public comment.

New State Building Codes
The State of Oregon’s Building Codes Division (BCD) released new editions of the Oregon Residential Specialty Code, Oregon Electrical Specialty Code and the Oregon Plumbing Code. Any permits issued in 2018 must meet the new code requirements, which took effect on January 1, 2018.
