Bond Funds Reallocated Between Two Projects; Metro Bond Project Withdrawal

To bring affordable homes online sooner, the 149-unit Barbur Apartments have switched from Portland Housing Bond to Metro Housing Bond funding; 149 units in hollywoodHUB have switched from Portland to Metro Bond funding. All unit counts remain the same. The Alcena will not move forward.

Three New Portland Housing Bond Projects Selected: Projected to Exceed Goals by 43 Percent

The Portland Housing Bureau has awarded funding to three new projects with the remaining funds from Portland’s Housing Bond. The new projects bring the projected total affordable homes produced through the city’s first housing bond to 1,859—housing for an estimated 3,834 people.

Metro Approves Seven New Portland Projects for Affordable Housing Bond Funding

Seven new Portland projects received full concept endorsement from Metro for funding from Metro’s Regional Affordable Housing Bond, bringing the city to 1,200+ units of affordable housing in the pipeline through the Metro Bond—or 83% of the goal set forth for Portland's allocation of the funds.

Rivergate Overcrossing is Portland's newest investment in its freight network. The $23 million bridge solves a long-standing traffic bottleneck, making it easier and safer for employees to get to work, truck drivers to deliver their goods and businesses to get their goods into customers' hands.
