One focus of Portland's participation in What Works Cities has been the enhancement of its Citywide Performance Management program. Government Accountability, Transparency, and Results (GATR) sessions put the focus on performance Citywide.
At the close of the first phase of the What Works Cities project in 2018, WWC helped the City of Portland assess our progress in the areas of open data, performance management, behavioral insights, results-driven contracting, and process improvement.
Portland joined the What Works Cities initiative in 2016, gaining a new partner in its work to create better community outcomes through use of data and evidence.
