Located in SE Portland, the Hosford-Abernethy neighborhood borders the Willamette River on the west, Southeast 29th Avenue on the east, Powell Boulevard on the south and Hawthorne Boulevard on the north. The neighborhood is both residential and industrial.

Meeting Time and Location
General Meetings The Hosford-Abernethy Neighborhood District Annual Meeting with elections is held on the 3rd Tuesday of May, 7:00 pm.
In-person at Carvlin Hall, St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2408 SE 16th Ave. Check the website to confirm meeting location or obtain instructions to join virtually. Meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome.
Board Meetings Hosford-Abernethy Neighborhood District Board meets on the 3rd Tuesday of the month, 7:00 - 9:00 pm. No meetings in August or December.
In-person meetings are held at Carvlin Hall, St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 2408 SE 16th Ave. When there are land use/development issues to discuss, a Land Use Meeting is held at 6:30 pm in the same location. Check the website to confirm meeting location or obtain instructions to join virtually. Meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome.

Willamette River Crossing construction updates

2016 through 2030

Taggart Outfall Sewer Project

Environmental Services completed construction in February of 2023.

Ladd’s Addition Green Street and Sewer Project

Construction is almost complete and is in the final stages of restoration.

Grand Avenue Riser Stabilization Project

Project design is nearly complete. Construction is anticipated to begin in June of 2024 and will take up to five months to complete.
