Hillsdale

The Hillsdale neighborhood, located in Southwest Portland is home to the Hillsdale Shopping Center, the Hillsdale Farmer’s Market, the Hillsdale branch of the Multnomah Public Library, and three schools in the Portland Public Schools system. George Himes Park offers scenic trails with a picnic area and a view of Mt Hood.

Meeting Time and location
General meetings Hillsdale Neighborhood Association General Meetings are held 7:00 - 8:30 pm, on the first Wednesday of the month, following a Board Meeting held 6:30 - 7:00 pm, on the same date, at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 2201 SW Vermont St, conference room on the lower level, and on Zoom. Park in the upper lot, walk to the front of building on Vermont and use the red door at the lower level entrance. There are a few parking spaces in the lower lot, including a handicap space. The Annual Meeting with elections is held in Spring, at a date determined by the board. Meetings are open to the public. Everyone is welcome. See website for details.

Construction and maintenance

Construction scheduled to tentatively begin spring 2027
This project is in the pre-design phase. Construction is expected to occur in 2028.
Design is finishing up and construction is anticipated to begin in September/October 2026 and take one month to complete..
