Neighborhood District Offices

Central Northeast Neighbors (CNN) is a community-based non-profit serving nine neighborhoods East of NE 33rd to I-205 and North of I-84 to the Columbia River. 

CNN provides support and technical assistance to the volunteer-based neighborhood associations, community groups, individuals, and business associations within their assigned district. The coalition acts as a forum to strengthen communities to take action on issues identified by those communities. The coalition supports community-driven activities that contribute to livability, diversity, safety, vitality and equity.

The East Portland Community Office (EPCO) is one of three district coalition offices run by the City of Portland’s Office of Community & Civic Life. Their service area covers neighborhoods east of 82nd Avenue/I-205 and includes about 25% of Portland’s population. 

The mission of EPCO is to support the community building and advocacy activities of the diverse communities that live, work, play, and come together in East Portland.

Neighbors West-Northwest (NWNW) is a community-based non-profit coalition serving Northwest and Southwest Portland. Their service area covers Arlington Heights, Forest Park, Goose Hollow, Hillside, Linnton, Northwest District, Northwest Heights, Old Town, Pearl District, Portland Downtown, Southwest Hills and Sylvan-Highlands.

North Portland Neighborhood Services (NPNS) is one of three district coalition offices run by the City of Portland’s Office of Community & Civic Life. Their service area covers North/Northeast Portland and the neighborhoods supported by NPNS include: Arbor Lodge, Bridgeton, Cathedral Park, East Columbia, Hayden Island, Kenton, Overlook, Piedmont, Portsmouth, St. Johns, and University Park.

The Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods (NECN) is a community-based non-profit coalition serving Northeast Portland. NECN fosters healthy communities by engaging citizens to become directly involved in determining how their neighborhood evolves, and giving them the tools to have their voices heard by policy makers and the public at large. 

Southeast Uplift Neighborhood Coalition (SE Uplift) is a community-based non-profit coalition serving Southeast Portland.  SE Uplift's mission is to collaborate with the SE Portland community to build informed, inclusive, and participatory neighborhoods that support our social and ecological well-being.

City of Portland Office of Community & Civic Life (Civic Life) provides assistance to community groups that lead and support civic engagement for the common good in Southwest.

Civic Life Southwest Newsletter

Civic Life Southwest Land Use & Transportation Forum is held several times a year. The forum agenda includes projects and items of interest that impact Southwest. Agency representatives are often on hand to share updates, answer questions and listen to feedback. This forum offers opportunities to connect and collaborate with community groups and land use and transportation advocates.
