SE 26th Avenue and Gladstone Sewer Repair Project

Environmental Services completed a project to replace an existing 114-year‐old, 240-foot-long public sewer pipe in the Creston-Kenilworth neighborhood. This project will protect public health and the environment by increasing the capacity of the public sewer system.
North Park Blocks Extension

This project will extend the North Park Blocks to include the "PNCA Block," the block between NW Hoyt and Glisan Streets. It will also include park blocks further north, to be developed fully at a later date.

NE Multnomah and NE 19th Sewer Project

Construction began in January of 2025 and is expected to take up to five months to complete.
Environmental Services (BES) is constructing a project to replace and upsize 238 feet of public sewer pipes and four service lateral pipes, install two ADA-compliant ramps, and construct two new maintenance holes and two new inlets in the Sullivan's Gulch Neighborhood.
NE Killingsworth Safer Crossings Project

PBOT will install nine safer crossings on NE Killingsworth including pedestrian islands and curb extensions. Crossings at NE 7th Avenue, NE 22nd Avenue and NE 25th Avenue will be constructed in December 2024 through January 2025. The remaining crossings will be constructed in summer 2025.
Brentwood-Darlington Crossroads Safety Project: SE Flavel Street at SE 72nd Avenue

This intersection safety project will rebuild the signal at SE Flavel and SE 72nd to include dedicated left hand turns and will add additional illumination to the intersection. The project will also update corner ramps to current ADA standards and improve poor pavement conditions.
Tryon Creek Highway 43 Culvert Replacement Project

This project is in the early phases of design. Construction is not expected until 2025.
Environmental Services, which manages wastewater and stormwater to protect human health and the environment, is working with the US Army Corps of Engineers to replace an undersized culvert that carries Tryon Creek under Highway 43. This project will reopen the creek to salmon and other fish species.
Creston Park Skatepark Project

A new, covered skatepark is being planned for Creston Park. This will be the very first covered skatepark in the PP&R system.

NE MLK and Russell Sewer Project

Environmental Services is constructing a project to upsize 739 feet of sewer pipe, replace six public sewer connections to private property, and add four new maintenance holes in the Eliot neighborhood. These improvements will reduce the possibility of sewage releases.

The Water Bureau will install 3,350 feet of water main (pipe) in southwest Portland. The pipes are aging and pass underneath the I-5 freeway and SW Barbur Boulevard, where a failure of these older pipes could cause major problems. This project will benefit over 42,000 people served by the main.

SE Division Street Repaving Project

The Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will be repaving SE Division Street from SE Cesar Chavez Blvd to SE 52nd Avenue in the summer of 2025.

This project is funded by the Metro Regional Parks & Nature Bond Local Share approved by voters in 2019. The Bristlecone Pine Trail Accessibility Improvements Project will renovate the existing 1-mile out and back trail and the parking lot that serves as a trailhead.

NE Shaver Sidewalk: NE 102nd to NE 115th avenues

Construction crews will build sidewalk and new ADA curb ramps on the south side of NE Shaver Street to connect this key school route for Parkrose Middle and High School students.

SE 174th Ave Sidewalk (Kelly to Francis streets)

Construction crews will build sidewalk on the west side of SE 174th Avenue to connect neighborhood streets to Powell Butte Elementary School. New crosswalks and ADA ramps will also be installed at SE Haig Dr and SE Marie St.
