NE 87th and Marx Sewer Project

Bureau of Environmental Services (BES) will construct a project to replace 437 feet of sewer line located on NE 87th Avenue between Marx Drive and Columbia Court in the Parkrose neighborhood. This project will increase system capacity and longevity and help protect public and environmental health.
SW Alder-Harvey Milk Sewer Project

Project design continues. Construction is anticipated to begin in July of 2026 and take a year and a half to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to repair 9,700 feet, or almost 2 miles, of aging public sewer pipes in downtown Portland. Having provided 140 years of service, the pipes require repairs to reduce risks of basement flooding and sewage releases to downtown buildings and streets.

Construction started in mid-January 2025 and will take up to six months to complete.
Environmental Services has started a project to repair 524 feet of public sewer pipe on SW Sheridan Street between Water and Moody avenues. Having provided over 135 years of service, the pipes require repairs to maintain reliable sewer service and protect public health and the environment.
