Environmental Services has begun construction on a project to restore wetlands and natural habitat on about 30 acres in the Johnson Creek floodplain. This project will reduce flood risk for local homes and businesses and enhance habitat for sensitive wildlife.
Southwest Quail Post Road LID

The Water Bureau will build new connections between the Quail Park subdivision's privately owned water system and the City's existing public water system. We will also replace the Quail Park water system when it reaches the end of its useful life, or by 2039 (whichever comes first).

South Portland-Burlingame Sewer Project

Construction began in June 2023 and will take up to a year and a half to complete.
Environmental Services is constructing a project in the South Portland and South Burlingame neighborhoods that will repair approximately 7,108 linear feet of aging public sewer pipes, that are on average 90 years old. This will help protect public health and the Willamette River Watershed.
Mill Park Project

Mill Park is a 6.2 acre park next to Mill Park Elementary. Thanks to funding from System Development Charges, PP&R has improved this park, and it now has a playground, splash pad, community garden, and other amenities.

SW Capitol Hill Road Sidewalk Infill Project

Midland Park Project

Midland Park is located behind the Midland Library on SE Morrison St. and SE 122nd Ave. It has a soft-surface walking trail, nature patch, and mature trees but is otherwise underdeveloped. Thanks to funding from System Development Charges, PP&R now has funds to improve this park.

SW Galeburn: SW Capitol Highway to SW 41st Ave Street Improvement Project

NW 9th and Hoyt Sewer and Water Pipe Improvement Project

Environmental Services, in partnership with the Portland Water Bureau, is constructing a project to upgrade infrastructure in NW Portland. This project will increase system capacity, reduce the risk of sewer discharges, and improve earthquake resilience for our critical infrastructure.

Buckman-Kerns Green Street and Sewer Project

Environmental Services is constructing a project that will install and upsize public sewer pipes and construct green street planters in the Buckman and Kerns neighborhoods. These improvements will increase sewer capacity, relieve sewer backups, and help reduce street flooding.
Carolina Trunk Sewer Project

Construction is expected to start in late spring or summer of 2025 and should take about two years to complete.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace a section of large concrete sewer pipe in SW Portland. The "Carolina Trunk" pipe runs near SW Slavin Road under Interstate 5 to Macadam Ave. It was built almost 90 years ago and needs to be replaced to prevent sewer and stormwater overflows.
Columbia Slough Outfall 57 Stormwater Project

Environmental Services is designing a stormwater management project in the Portsmouth neighborhood to reduce the amount of pollution entering the Columbia Slough. This project is part of a larger effort to improve water and sediment quality in the Columbia Slough.
82nd Avenue: Beech and Ash Crossings

As part of this project, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will make critical pedestrian safety improvements to 82nd Avenue at NE Beech Street and at SE Ash Street.

Hillsdale Middle Sewer Project

Environmental Services is in the design phase of the Hillsdale Middle Sewer Project. This project will repair or replace approximately 1.6 linear miles of aging public sewer pipes throughout the neighborhood. Taking these actions now will help protect public health and the environment.
NE 6th Drive Pump Station Project

Environmental Services is constructing a project to expand and remodel the 44-year-old NE 6th Drive Pump Station in the East Columbia neighborhood. The upgrades will modernize equipment, increase system capacity, and protect public health and the environment.
82nd Avenue: Klickitat to Lambert Crossings
