From February 21-27, 2022, the Impact Reduction Program:

  • Received 921 new campsite reports, including 89 reports of people living in vehicles
  • Observed about 358 active campsites, accounting for duplicate reports about the same locations
  • Assessed approximately 547 campsites, engaging with people living there, collecting garbage and biohazardous materials, and coordinating with service providers
  • Cleaned 16 campsites, removing only identified garbage and biohazardous materials
  • Removed 0 campsites that posed a risk to health and safety, safely storing campers' personal property (severe weather declaration from February 21st - 24th)

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

Based on health and safety criteria, the following locations have been posted for removal:

  • N Union Ct Dog Park
  • N Going and N Greely
  • Swan Island Boat Ramp area
  • I-5 SB at N Skidmore
  • I-5 N Skidmore Loop
  • I-5 N Marine Drive Ramp
  • PCT N Columbia to N Fessenden
  • N Montana and N Lombard

Northeast Portland

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

  • NE 141st and NE Sandy
  • Near 4700 NE 116th
  • NE 33rd and NE Columbia
  • NE 112th and NE Holman-Simpson PBOT

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned and removed the following sites:

  • Due to the severe weather declaration from February 21st - 24th, no campsites were removed.

Based on health and safety criteria, the following locations have been posted for removal:

  • NE 82nd and NE Milton
  • I-205 SB NE Glisan off ramp

Southeast Portland

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

  • SE 63rd and SE Boise
  • Near 6110 SE 111th
  • SE 94th and SE Holgate 
  • SE Haig and SE McLoughlin
  • SE 9th and SE Madison
  • SE 92nd and SE Powell 
  • Near 6113 SE 111th
  • Near 9103 SE Knapp
  • Near 8979 SE Harney
  • SE 84th and SE Insley

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

  • Due to the severe weather declaration from February 21st - 24th, no campsites were removed.

Based on health and safety criteria, the following locations have been posted for removal:

  • I-405 NB SW 4th off ramp
  • SW 6th and SW Pine

Northwest Portland

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

  • The Impact Reduction Team responded to multiple reports in Northwest to conduct assessments and remove garbage and biohazardous materials.
