Weekly campsite report: Nov. 15-21, 2021

From Nov. 15-21, the Homelessness and Urban Camping Impact Reduction Program:

• Received 1011 new campsite reports, including 178 reports of people living in vehicles
• Received reports about 145 active campsites, accounting for duplicate reports about the same locations
• Assessed approximately 231 campsites, engaging with people living there, collecting garbage and biohazardous materials, and coordinating with service providers
• Cleaned 6 campsites, removing only identified garbage and biohazardous materials
• Removed 12 campsites that posed a risk to health and safety, safely storing campers' personal property

Northeast Portland

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

• The Impact Reduction Team responded to multiple reports in Northeast to conduct assessments and remove garbage and biohazardous materials.

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned and removed the following sites:

• I-205 Multi-Use Path near Killingsworth

Based on health and safety criteria, the following locations have been posted for removal:

Southeast Portland

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

• SE Knapp
• E 99th and Burnside

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned and removed the following sites:

• I-205 Multi-Use Path and Powell
• SE 37^th- Oak to Stark
• SE Cesar Chavez- Stark to Oak

• I-205 and Powell southbound on-ramp
• I-205 Northbound South Of Burnside

Southwest Portland

The Impact Reduction Team cleaned the following sites:

• SW 11th and main

• Burnside bridge
