Station 29 – Powellhurst

Fire Station 29 is located in the southeast corner of the City of Portland near the Gresham and Clackamas County borders. The station was originally part of Multnomah County Fire District 10 as Station 2, and then as Station 42. It was built in 1960 when the company was moved to where it currently sits on southeast 133rd Ave. and Foster Rd. In 1984, District 10 merged with Portland Fire and Rescue. In 2003 the station was completely remodeled for seismic upgrades and to increase livability of the station. In 2006 the station was again renumbered to Station 29, providing Portland Fire with numerical consistency throughout the city – Stations 1 through 31. the station is currently a single fire engine company. The members are cross trained for Brush Unit and ATV operations. The station often runs on mutual aid calls with Clackamas County and assists with response coverage for Powell Butte, Johnson Creek, and the Springwater Corridor.
