Station 20

Information

Station 20 – Sellwood/ Moreland

Station 20 serves the Sellwood, Moreland, Ardenwald, and Eastmoreland neighborhoods. The station is located in a scenic area of the city containing two large city parks, the historic campus of Reed College, Eastmoreland Public Golf Course, The Oaks Bottom Wildlife Refuge and the historic Oaks Amusement Park. Station 20’s fire response area extends past the city’s southern boundary into Milwaukee to provide wildland protection at Elk Rock Island which was donated to the city of Portland in 1940. Station 20 was built in 1959 and retrofitted for seismic upgrades in 2004. The fire station, as well as the personnel, reflect a sense of community within the response area they serve and are dedicated to helping others and problem solving large and small.
