Fire Station 2 – Parkrose
Training Campus
Station 2 is located on Portland Fire & Rescue’s Training Campus and continues the long-standing commitment to excellence in the training of new firefighters. Their goal is to prepare new firefighter recruits to face the inherent dangers and responsibilities of being a first responder for Portland Fire and Rescue. Portland Fire & Rescue’s training center provides recruits with outstanding facilities and administrative support. The campus houses a 6-story drill tower, a two-story Class-A burn building, and 5 acres of asphalt with various other props. Station 2 staffs an engine and a truck and the emergency response area is bounded on the north by the Columbia River, Portland International Airport to the West, the City of Gresham to the East, and the I-84/ Banfield freeway to the South. Station 2's emergency response is primarily residential, commercial, and freeway incidents. Additionally, Station 2 responds to any significant emergency in the city to expose and prepare recruits for the day they graduate to a standard fire company
