Station 12

Information

Fire Station 12 – Sandy – Technical Rescue

Fire station 12 is in the Sumner neighborhood on the corner of 87th Ave. and Sandy Blvd. It opened on September 11, 2002 as a memorial to the events one year prior on 9/11. The response area covers everything from freeways to the Portland International Airport as well as residential, commercial and industrial properties. The members of Station 12 are part of the technical rescue team and work closely with Station 1 to conduct ongoing training together. Station 12 houses Engine 12 and Squad 12, the only tillered (articulated, with a driver in the front and back), crane squad in the world. The crews at Station 12 pride themselves on the work they do and their dedication to the people they serve.
