Are you a young woman between the ages of 16 and 22? Want to learn about a career in firefighting? Apply for the Portland Metro Fire Camp for women.
Portland Metro Fire Camp is planning for 2026!
Do you know any young women ages 16-22 who would make good firefighters? Maybe you're one yourself! We are so excited to be able to host our annual camp next year. Applications will open early 2026!
This FREE three-day camp is an opportunity to experience the unique aspects of being a firefighter in an all-female environment.
Work stations will include:
- Search and rescue
- Jaws of Life operation
- Climbing the aerial ladder
- Fire hose operation
- Forcing doors
Young women will also learn about nutrition, physical fitness, interview skills, and more.
