  • Spearheaded the City of Portland’s eviction moratorium.
  • Created the Safe Streets Program, utilizing the Neighborhood Greenways program to provide more space for people to walk, bike, roll, do business, and get around in their neighborhood.
  • Created the Healthy Businesses Program, allowing restaurants and other businesses to temporarily expand seating and other space onto the street. The permit is free-of-charge.
  • Developed and passed the Delivery Ordinance, barring third-party delivery companies from price gouging restaurants while protecting delivery drivers’ wages. OPB Coverage

  • Supported $15 million in CARES Act funding for small businesses and $4.4 for arts and culture organizations and individual artists. OPB coverage, Oregon Arts Commission, WW Coverage.
  • Secured $200K in City funding for the Oregon Worker Relief Fund, supporting Oregonians who have lost their jobs yet are ineligible for Unemployment Insurance and federal stimulus relief due to their immigration status.  
  • Provided canopies for the COVID-19 emergency outdoor houseless shelters.
