Piedmont Priority Outfalls Plan

Environmental Services is developing the Piedmont Priority Outfalls Plan. This planning effort will protect public health and the environment by identifying ways to reduce pollutants in stormwater entering the Columbia Slough.

Rosa Parks Lateral Sewer Project

The project is currently scheduled to begin in late Summer 2024.
Environmental Services is designing a project to repair multiple sewer lateral connections from private properties to the main sewer line. This project will reduce the risks of basement sewer backups, flooding, and emergency repairs in the future.

N Gantenbein Avenue Sewer Project

Design work is underway, and construction is anticipated to begin in Fall 2024.
Environmental Services is designing a project to replace the main sewer line on N Gantenbein Avenue. Sections of the pipe are over 120 years old and in deteriorating condition. This project will reduce the risks of basement sewer backups, flooding, and emergency repairs in the future.

Lombard Pump Station and Force Main Upgrade

Design is almost complete. Construction is anticipated to begin in the fall of 2024 and take about a year and a half to complete.
Environmental Services will be constructing a project to upgrade the 41-year-old Lombard Pump Station in North Portland and repair 4,800 feet of forcemain. The improvements will accommodate growth and future demands on the sewer system. Improved reliability, and safety will protect public health.

SW 11th Avenue Sewer Extension

Construction is anticipated to begin in April and take up to five weeks to complete.
Environmental Services is constructing a project to extend the public sewer 50 feet in SW 11th Avenue between SW Taylors Ferry Road and SW Carson Street. This will resolve a nonconforming sewer connection and provide one property an independent connection to the public sewer.

Alderwood Pump Station Replacement Project

Project design will continue through August of 2026, with construction beginning in January of 2027.
Environmental Services is designing a project at the Port of Portland to replace the Alderwood Pump Station, located at 7209 NE Alderwood Road. The pump station, constructed in 1984, is 40 years old and needs to be replaced to meet standards for operations, safety, and pumping capacity.
A safety improvement project including travel lane reconfiguration, ADA upgrades, crossing enhancements, and enhanced bike lanes on Stark and Washington between 92nd and 106th. Design should occur in 2024 with construction in 2025-2026.

Foster Rd & 111th: Crossing & Signal, SE
