Published

Portland City Council will hold its first Finance and Governance Committee of the Whole meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in Council Chambers and online. This marks the first meeting of the new committee structure, voted on by Council in February

Starting this month, the Committee of the Whole will meet on the first, second, and fourth Thursdays at 9:30 a.m., and on the third Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. when an evening Council meeting is scheduled.

Council's new four standing policy committees - Community & Public Safety, Housing and Permitting, Public Works, and City Life - will also begin meeting in April under the newly adopted schedule. Each committee will meet twice monthly and will be chaired by designated Councilors. However, due to budget meetings, many meetings will be rescheduled or paused through June.
